Code of Conduct
Leading With Integrity
As a BEE Buddy Ambassador, you represent more than a cause—you carry a message of kindness, resilience, and hope to children and communities around the world. This Code of Conduct outlines the standards and responsibilities expected of all Ambassadors to protect our mission, our participants, and our collective impact.
1. Live the BEE Attitudes
• Model the nine BEE Attitudes in your words, actions, and relationships:
• BEE Open, BEE Peaceful, BEE Good, BEE Brave, BEE Proud, BEE Caring, BEE Pure, BEE Bold, and BEE Generous
• You are not expected to be perfect—but you are expected to be growing.
2. Act With Integrity
• Represent Vivid Academy and the Miss Dorothy’s Garden Legacy Project with honesty and authenticity.
• Do not use your Ambassador role for personal, political, or financial gain.
• Disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
3. Protect Children & Communities
• Treat all children and families with dignity and respect.
• Never engage in behavior that could be perceived as abusive, manipulative, or inappropriate.
• Follow all safety protocols and reporting procedures, especially when working directly with minors.
4. Honor Cultural Contexts
• Be mindful and respectful of the cultures, customs, and lived experiences of those we serve, both locally and globally.
• Ask questions. Stay teachable. Never assume.
5. Collaborate With Compassion
• Communicate with fellow volunteers, partners, and staff in a spirit of mutual respect and grace.
• Raise concerns or disagreements privately, constructively, and through the proper channels.
6. Guard Confidentiality
• Protect the privacy of children, families, and partners you serve with or encounter.
• Never share personal information, photos, or stories without explicit permission.
7. Be Reliable & Responsive
• Follow through on your commitments and communicate promptly if plans change.
• Complete required training and onboarding tasks on time.
• Be present, prepared, and professional in all volunteer duties.
8. Be a Messenger of the Mission
• Share opportunities to serve, give, or attend with integrity and alignment to our core message.
• Do not speak on behalf of the organization unless explicitly authorized to do so.
Failure to comply with this Code of Conduct may result in suspension or termination of your role as an Ambassador. These guidelines are in place not to restrict, but to protect the spirit of what we’re building—together.
