There’s a children’s picture book called Miss Dorothy’s Garden: 9 BEE Attitudes to Grow By that celebrates the century of service of Dorothy Witherspoon—a psychiatric ER nurse for nearly 40 years and a woman of faith for over 90. The book uses the BEE Attitudes to teach kids how to sow kindness in themselves and others.

It’s now a global movement enlisting children as BEE Buddies who join Miss Dorothy and her BEE Helpers on a mission to make the garden grow. She turns 101 this year, and I’m raising $1,001 to support children’s mental health programs in the U.S. and South Africa.
